You feel the Temptation to check out social media apps when you get a notification on your phone. Therefore turning off notifications will go a long way to control your social media usage.
  2. Set a routine for Social Media usage: Having a routine in life is a game changer. As I have said in previous blog articles, a routine gives you freedom. It doesn’t enslave you. So setting a routine for social media usage is highly advised. Set a specific time limit for social media usage.
  3. Enjoy life offline: Social media apps are ways in which you connect with your friends and family online. 4. Engage in your favourite Hobbie: There was a time when we used to write essays about our favourite hobbies. Unfortunately, these days we don’t have any hobbies. It is time to think about your passions and your hobbies and engage with them. You might find great enjoyment in reading, writing, photography, drawing, fishing, cycle riding etc. It’s an endless list and it is up to your creativity to find out the ones you enjoy.
  5. Embrace Boredom: “We are bored”, that is the excuse most of us give for using social media apps. I think you should embrace that boredom. There is nothing wrong with being bored. Besides, boredom is a source of creativity. If you engage in hobbies, this boredom has the power to inspire creativity in you.
