First of all, I have to make a confession that I am not a professional blogger. My blog article doesn’t have thousands of views. I am just an amateur with hardly one month of experience. The reason is, that the professional might have forgotten the difficulties that she faced when she first started out as an article writer. Whereas an amateur who has acquired the skills of writing recently knows about the difficulties faced by a newbie writer.

I am absolutely sure that the tips that I learned during the process of learning to write will help you. Besides I am writing this article as a reminder for me also so that I can go back to the tips that I followed to write a decent article. Moreover, I intend to keep this blog article updated. Learning to write is a skill that needs to be improved. I will update this article with any and all information that I learn so that it will be useful for any new article writer. Now let’s talk about the various tips for writing a decent article.

Tips for writing a decent article:

1. If you are writing a blog article then you must consider Search Engine Optimisation tips. You can use tools such as AHREF keyword generator to find out what users are searching for on the Internet. The idea is that you must write the blog articles which users are searching for. As a writer, you are finding out what people want and catering to their needs by writing a blog article to address people’s needs.
2. Give your blog article an excellent and relevant title.
3. Try to write using an active voice instead of a passive voice. An example of an active voice is: “John kicked the ball”. An example of passive voice is: “The ball was hit by John”.
4. Try to use transitional words like nevertheless, but, however etc.
5. Treat paragraph as an idea unit. Try to keep it in a medium size.
6. Do not use complicated sentences. Try to keep it as neat as possible.
7. Don’t rely on plagiarism. If you are borrowing ideas from other people give them the due credit.
